Always a Bridesmaid, Never a Bride

Today I went shopping for my bridesmaid dress for my best friend Megan's wedding. I met her thru APG and although we're night and day...we became very close through the year & a half I worked there. We've remained in contact since I've quit there and I am happy she thought of me when it came time to select her bridesmaid. Makes me happy to know I can touch someones life in that short amount of time, enough to be a part of their wedding.


Of course, this experience makes me wonder why I am always the bridesmaid and never the bride. I tell myself I don't ever want to get married b.c I see what it does to people. I think I am just telling myself that b.c I am afraid I will never get married. Maybe I'm letting myself down easily, haha. The truth is, I do want to get married. I want the dress, the vows, the bachelorette party, the attention. I want to spend the rest of my life with someone and start a family. I dont need many things in my life to make me happy, but love is one thing that I've always craved and tried to perfect. I am glad I have Josh in my life and I know he loves me. I'm sure God has a plan for us and everything will work out just fine and maybe one day...I'll get MY moment. Until then, I am happy to help someone else plan theirs! :)
